ndis

Are you looking for a provider to assist you to get the most out of your NDIS package?

We love helping participants, adults and children of all ages, with a variety of conditions, to meet their personal and physiotherapy goals.  We understand you want to be independent and involved in the things you enjoy. We strive to work collaboratively with you, and everyone involved in your care to ensure we achieve the best outcomes possible. NDIS funding has enabled so many of our clients to meet their Physio goals and start working towards the next thing they would like to do.

We use an individualised approach to ensure your treatment is just right for you and your family. We love to hear what you would like from us, things that have worked for you in the past as well as the things that haven’t. We are committed to helping people reach their goals and together we will plan for how to get you awesome results right now.

What makes a difference to your health experience?

We understand that sometimes it’s the little things that can make a difference – like ordering a piece of equipment that helps you or figuring out a solution to a problem that is bothering you. We have a beautiful big gym that is comprehensively equipped with gym and Pilates equipment that we can also utilise to develop an exercise program tailored towards you to build your strength and mobility and work towards achieving your goals. We love to treat a broad range of conditions across paediatrics, neurological and musculoskeletal areas. There is lots of space for kids to work on running and ball skills whilst also developing their strength, posture and balance too. Read more about our work with kids on our paediatric page

Do you need home visits or help navigating the system?

It can sometimes be more convenient and effective to have services performed in the comfort of your home. We are happy to work where it suits you, in our rooms, your home, your child’s school or any other location which would be helpful for you. We also provide telehealth appointments.

The NDIS can be confusing to navigate. If you would like to speak with us about how we can help you please feel free to call or email. To book an appointment or arrange a phone discussion contact us on 0394812348 or email admin@bodyfitphysio.com.au

frequently asked questions

do I need a referral for physiotherapy?

No referral is needed for Physiotherapy

what should I expect in a physiotherapy assessment?

The first question we ask is “What are your aims for physiotherapy?”

We want to work with you in a way that is most helpful for you. Your physiotherapist will take a detailed history, asking you a number of questions about what has been happening for you. They will conduct a thorough assessment of your joints, posture, strength and any specific activities and movements that are relevant to your issue.

Common management approaches we use:

  • Problem solving around how to best manage your symptoms / issues
  • Sharing exercises that you can do at home so that you can help yourself
  • Hands on treatment to improve your symptoms and mobility
  • Supervised specially tailored exercise with our Pilates equipment to help you build specific strength in a supported environment if you and your physio think this would be helpful for you.

can I access physio under NDIS

Yes we are able to bill directly for NDIA managed or plan managed clients. Self managed clients can pay on the day and claim on the portal

what should I bring with me / wear

It is helpful for you to bring any relevant letters or reports regarding your issue or investigations you have had done.

Ideally wear clothes that allow you to move and allow body parts you would like addressed to be seen.
